Lunges are a super duper exercise that target your quadriceps along with ALL the other lower body muscles, including glutes, hamstrings and calves. By using your body weight as resistance, lunges can literally be done everywhere and anywhere!!
How to perform a lunge correctly:
- Start with your feet hip-width apart.
- Step one leg forward and lower your body until both knees form a 90 degree angle and your rear knee almost touches the floor.
- Keep your torso engaged and upright for the entire movement.
- Push yourself up to the starting position. Perform 12-20 repetitions.
