Porridge is our all time favourite breakfast meal, especially during the cold months of the year. Oats taste delicious and have a high fibre content, making us feel full and energised throughout the day!!

Ingredients

  • 30g rolled oats

  • ½ handful raisins

  • ½ red apple, grated

  • 1 teaspoon honey

  • 75ml hot water

  • 50ml milk of your own preference (e.g. oat milk)

  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

Method

  • Boil the water in a kettle.

  • Place the oats and the raisins in a saucepan and pour in 75ml hot water. Leave to soak for 5 minutes.

  • Add all the remaining ingredients in the saucepan.

  • Cook for 5-10 minutes over a medium heat, stirring often, until the oats become soft.
