Margo Motivates loves summer but we have to admit, that when it snows on the island it is absolutely beautiful! Troodos is the largest mountain range in Cyprus, with Mount Olympus standing majestically at 1,952 metres. With four ski slopes, two wonderful cafes on the slopes and plenty of restaurants around the area, Troodos IS the place to be if you like outdoor activities during the winter.
So wake up in the morning, pack up your breakfast and head to Sun Valley, where you can rent equipment for ski and snowboard. With the ski lifts operating from 09:00-16:00 plenty of action is guaranteed. Sledges can also be rented from the ski shop, whereas the Sun Valley cafe offers warm and comforting food for the hungry and cold travellers, including trahana soup and kebab. Don’t forget to make snow angels and a snowman before you head back home!
