Spring has finally arrived and we could not be happier about it! Αs soon as the temperature starts to rise, Margo Motivates simply cannot stay indoors (oh Sunshine!!).
The Xyliatos Nature Trail is situated in the district of Nicosia (basically it’s a 40-minute drive from Nicosia). The perfect time to visit the Xyliatos area is between late February – mid March because of the blossoming almond trees, daisies and poppies en route.
The trail runs around the dam with a picnic site located under the dam; it is an easy circular 3.8 km route with pine trees and wild vegetation glistering on the dam’s peaceful waters creating the perfect scenery. Along the trail, hikers also get a chance to spot some endemic birds and plant species like the Cyprus warbler or skullcap.
For a short and sweet Sunday stroll with nature in all its glory this is a definite must!! Spring we love you and we salute you!!
